Most Common MRSA Symptoms
Community Acquired MRSA is often localized to the nostrils, commonly presenting as a persistent rash of small, pus-filled boils on the skin - similar to acne. Flu-like symptoms may accompany these skin disturbances. If the skin and soft tissues are the only sites of infection, treatment can be simple and effective.
However, like any Staph infection, an infected individual is at great risk for secondary infection - when the infection spreads to the major internal organs and systems in the body. CA-MRSA is significantly more difficult to treat when it has spread to the vital organs.
